HIS first two albums were called 'Littletown' and 'Northern Trash' and he's just written a song called 'Brighouse On A Saturday Night'. If there's a common thread through the songs of Brighouse musician Roger Davies, it's his love of Yorkshire and in particular his home patch.
So far 2008 has been a busy and fulfilling year for the singer-songwriter who has a string of gigs lined up over the summer and a new CD due out in the autumn.
Thirty-year-old Roger has been able to give up supply teaching to concentrate on his music career and it's a year since he had to 'tout' for gigs – these days the work seems to find him.
Tapping into the folk circuit has proved fruitful for Roger and he has become a 'regular' at folk festivals and clubs across the region. He has developed a loyal fan base and his gigs in his home town are particularly well-supported.
